Es ist richtig, dass man im Normalfall von der Leichtathletik als Athletin oder Athlet nicht leben kann. Deshalb spreche ich mich für eine duale Karriere aus. Wenn der Sport richtig gelingen soll, dann reicht als zweite Beschäftigung eine Berufsbegleitung völlig aus. Kommen noch mehr Belastungen auf Athleten dazu, halte ich das für Verzettelung und vielfach auch für das Fehlen dringender Regenerationen. Es gibt konträre Einstellungen - im Sportstudio: um Geld geht´s nicht und dann jump for money! Was denn nun? Ich bin der Meinung, dass man alle diese Belastungen nicht unter einen Hut bringen kann. Es gehört eine gewisse Ruhe zum Leistungssport, aus der man schöpfen kann. Man kann mit der normalen Sportförderung plus Vereinssalär, Pumavertrag und Wettkampfgeldern sein Leben und Studium eigentlich gut bestreiten. Wenn man das $-Zeichen im Auge noch mehr ausschöpfen will, bleibt zu wenig Zeit für die eigentliche Leistung. Ich sehe diese Anhäufung von Verdienstquellen als nicht leistungsfördernd für Weltklasseleistungen an. So wird im Endeffekt alles nur halb und nichts ganz. Beim Modeln werden doch high heels getragen, die bei entsprechenden Fußformen vollkommen kontraproduktiv sind.
Was meint ihr dazu? Bin ich da zu streng? Ich bin nach wie vor davon überzeugt, dass sie das Potential für die 7,00m hat, aber so bin ich sehr skeptisch. Ich habe von absolut professioneller Einstellung eine ganz andere Meinung.
