Ich habe natürlich nicht mal im Ansatz Einblick (oder Ahnung) von Training, Trainern, Stützpunktstrukturen oder gar der allgemeinen "Nachwuchssituation" in diesen Bereichen, aber mich beschleicht so das Gefühl, dass die Polen das deutlich besser machen.
Wieso ausgerechnet Polen? Weil die polnische Leichtathletik, ähnlich wie die deutsche (zumindest noch vor einigen Jahren), ihre Stärken im technischen und Wurf-/Stoßbereich hat. Ja, im Speerwurf ist dort gar nichts, aber die momentane Situation in Deutschland (eigentlich nur bei den Männern) ist jetzt auch gerade mal 3-4 Jahre so luxuriös, vorher war hier auch länger Brachland und Peter Blank war noch bis in die 2000er rein ganz weit vorne in Deutschland.
Ich glaube, mit einer Konzentration und gezielter Förderung dieser DIsziplinen wäre der deutschen Leichtathletik wesentlich mehr geholfen. Wenn man kein äußerst erfolgreicher Sprintstar ist (Nein, bei aller Liebe, das ist Gina Lückenkemper nun doch nicht), zählt für die Leichtahtletik eigentlich vorrangig Olympia um Erfolge/Ruhm/Präsenz und Storys zu erzeugen (und selbstverständlich auch finanziell erfolgreich zu sein, das gehört dazu). Bei Olympia ist es aber wesentlich einfacher, in den Wurfdisziplinen Medaillen zu erreichen als im Laufbereich. Und Olympiymedaillen SIND eben "sexy", Harting war mit Abstand der größte Star der letzten Jahre (gut da kommt auch Charisma hinzu, aber geschenkt), aber hir rennt ja fast alles dem scheinbaren Lauferfolg nach, ich denke, dass das noch ein böses Erwachen gibt.
Man merkt es ja hier im Forum: Koko der neue Darling, wo stellenweise zukünftige Weltrekorde prognostiziert werden: Davon ist sie noch weitweit weg und sie hat noch absolut gar nichts Zählbares im internationalen Bereich gerissen. Irgendwie ist dann die Leichtathletik als Ganzes doch anscheinend zu heterogen um jede Disziplin entsprechend zu würdigen, es wäre vielelicht ehrlicher von der Sportart "Sprinten, dann längeres Laufen und noch lästiges Beiwerk dazu" zu sprechen, aber dass selbst der Verband die Technikseite vernachlässigt ist dann doch mindestens ärgerlich, wenn nicht fahrlässig.
Robert harting war ein Star weil er jahrelang dominierte und noch dazu eine "big personality" hat.um in der LA ein echter Star zu sein braucht es sowohl Erfolg als auch Charisma.
