@ DerC: Bzgl. Mythen sind wir uns einig, bzgl. Schwächen verbessern weniger.
Wenn Dibaba im Vorlauf nach 2:48 über 1.000 m eine 4:06 läuft (und die war nicht am Limit), dann ist die Frage, wie weit bin ich dahinter. Es ist ein großer Unterschied, ob man eine, zwei oder drei Sekunden verliert. Und sich von drei auf eine Sekunde zu verbessern, schmälert den Spielraum der Konkurrenz.
Die Leistungsdichte in der Weltspitze ist zu groß, als dass man als Frontrunner Medaillen gewinnen kann. Außer man ist in Top-Form und heißt Dibaba, Ayana oder Semenya (800 m).
