Der DLV zentralisiert enorm. Es werden z.B. Standards in den biomechanischen Tests angegeben, wobei ich nicht von allen Übungen überzeugt bin. Als ich letztens als Referentin beim DLV fungierte, habe ich meinen Unmut über eine bestimmte Übung geäußert. Isabell Baumann sagte mit einem Lächeln: „Auch deine Athletinnen müssten daran teilnehmen, wenn sie zum Kader gehörten!“ „Nur über meine Leiche“, war meine Antwort. Ich habe auch kein Vertrauen in bestimmte DLV-Laufprogramme, wo kaum Zeitverbesserungen und spezielle Verletzungen auftreten und die Glykolyse mit Füßen getreten wird bzw. anscheinend keinen Stellenwert besitzt. Der heraufbeschworene Teamgeist funktioniert einfach so nicht. Man sollte im DLV immer daran denken, dass es auch bessere Trainer in der Peripherie geben kann. Man stelle sich vor, dass ein Glen Mills einen Usain Bolt dem jamaikanischen Bundestrainer überlassen müsste. Ich schüttele immer wieder den Kopf, wie man eine derartige „Strategie“ herausgeben kann???!!! Dass einer für alle denken und vorgeben kann, funktioniert in den meisten Fällen nicht!
