Und das ist genau das, was viele von uns eben nicht glauben. Abseits des Fußballs ist es 97% der Bevölkerung egal, welche Vereinsmannschaft gegen eine andere Vereinsmannschaft gewinnt. Die anderen 3% konzentrieren sich auf Eishockey und Handball. Eine Leichtathletik-Bundesliga hätte keine Chance, weil es für die meisten Deutschen (selbst die meisten Leichtathletik-Fans) schlichtweg völlig egal ist, ob der SCC Berlin oder Eintracht Frankfurt Deutscher Mannschaftsmeister wird. Diejenigen, die sich für Leichtathletik interessieren, sehen das in erster Linie als Einzelsportart. Und zwar völlig zurecht. Teamwettbewerbe in der Leichtathletik (Staffeln ausgenommen) sind nur ein Zusammenrechnen von Einzelergebnissen.
