Warum taucht es alles jetzt erst auf oder war es teilweise in Bezug auf Cain bereits bekannt? Es ist schon klar, dass die Salazar-Sperre eine Art Dammbruch gewesen sein kann, nach dem nun mehr Athletinnen sich trauen, an die Öffentlichkeit zu gehen. Aber hier geht es auch um Medikamentenmissbrauch und das war Gegenstand der USADA-Untersuchung. Wenn denn USADA nach Eigenaussage bereits jeden Stein umgedreht hatte, warum hat man nichts in Bezug auf Cain gefunden? Oder hatte man? Nach den Cain-Aussagen muss es diverse Zeugen gegeben haben.
Die Aussagen von Cain erscheinen zwar sehr emotionalisiert aber zu den medizinischen Fakten gibt es vermutlich Unterlagen und wie schon gesagt jede Menge Zeugen.
Und der Hinweis scheint hier nötig zu sein, dass für verschiedene Personen nun mal verschiedene noch akzeptable Untergrenzen für das Gewicht gelten. Mit BMI kommt man auch nicht unbedingt weiter. Es sei an das erschreckende noch nicht sonderlich alte Beispiel einer britischen Nachwuchsläuferin erinnert, die nach Eigenaussage nicht zu wenig aß, nicht super dünn erschien, aber extreme Probleme mit Osteoporose hatte.
Ist jetzt eine weitere Untersuchung gegen Salazar fällig, nur diesmal eher von USATF und nicht USADA?
