In der Breite sind wir gar nicht so schlecht im Vergleich mit den meisten anderen nicht-USA Ländern, bei uns lief die Nummer 30 in Deutschland z.b 10.45, in GB waren es 10.40 in Frankreich sogar 10.55, Italien 10.61 um mal Euro Länder vergleichbarer Größe zu nehmen.
Übrigens in Jamaika läuft die Nummer 30 auch nur 10.35, allerdings kann man das nicht wirklich vergleichen weil Jamaika weniger Einwohner als Berlin hat, in den USA sind es 10.21, aber die kann man natürlich mit keinem vergleichen (300 Mio Einwohner, größte sprint tradition).
da leisten unsere Trainer also schon solide Arbeit ordentliche Sprinter zu produzieren, nur geht es dann halt bei 10.20 rum nicht mehr groß weiter nach vorne.
das Problem gab es z.b auch im Tennis nach Becker, wir waren sehr gut darin gute bis sehr gute tennisspieler auszubilden (wahrscheinlich ist die Nummer 500 in Deutschland die beste 500 der welt), aber nicht gut darin spitzenspieler also top30 oder besser auszubilden.
vielleicht wird da auch zu sehr auf Sicherheit gespielt nach dem Motto wir haben ein bewährtes System was ordentlich funktioniert. Das ist auch ein wenig deutsche Mentalität: gute, solide Qualität abliefern, aber nicht das allerletzte Risiko einzugehen. In den USA herrscht da mehr die "Millionär oder Gosse" Einstellung, da wird solide über dem Durchschnitt einfach nicht so geschätzt, da heißt es Goldmedaille oder du hast versagt.
