Interesante Diskusion zwischen Herr Lohre und einen Anti-Doping experten aus Finland in Facebook:
Guenther Lohre The same was said about steroids, Cortison and other medication. It is only für prevention purposes only. The truth is, all of this is extremely dangerous to your health and it is doping. Do you really believe that athletes take meldonium if there is no positive effect on the performance?
Sergei Iljukov Guenther Lohre I totally agree with you regarding steroids and cortison. These are old beliefs coming from CCCP past. As in Germany after fall of GDR, mindshift in coaches mind happened, but it didnt happened in Russia. Thats the issue and still problem. No any antidoping system ever clear sport untill we have coaches who think that way, but in this particular case the problem is that meldronate doesnt have ergogenic effects any performance enhancing effect, but used on old believs that it protect athletes heart. This is BS. I respect your reference to Cologne laboratory and Mario Thevis behind it and going to talk about this topic with him next week at wada conference, but still banned means banned and thats the rule to be followed, not broken. Will see, will the wada attitude towards mildoniumin changes next week. Will do best for that, but that a matter of professional discussions.
