Es stimmt natürlich, dass ein Athlet, der täglich Bilder von sich ins Netz stellt oder stellen lässt (siehe Schrader), eine größere Gefolgschaft hat. Aber es steht nirgendwo geschrieben, dass es die Pflicht des Athleten ist, dies zu tun.
Eine vernünftige Kommunikation von schwerwiegenden Verletzungen oder anderen Problemen, die die Leistung beeinträchtigen, macht Sinn, damit man Fans nicht vergrault. Allerdings muss man nicht jeden Furz berichten. Es ist schön für jeden Fan, wenn dieser im Bilde des Geschehens ist, aber der Fan hat kein Recht darauf, nur das Interesse.
