Er übersieht bei seiner Kritik, dass das Feld anschließend aufgefüllt wird. Falls wirklich zu wenige Athleten 83 Meter werfen, kommen dafür eben mehrere über die Bestenliste weiter.
Hinzu kommt, dass gerade bei Olympischen Spielen die IAAF eben nicht machen kann, was sie will! Die Zeiten sind vorbei, seit das Programm voller und voller wird. Die Leichtathletik hat eine bestimmte Anzahl an Athleten, die sie nicht überschreiten darf, und demnach muss die IAAF die normen festlegen.
Dass es einen Unterschied zwischen den Normen in den Lauf- und denen in den technischen Disziplinen gibt, ist richtig. Aber es gibt andere Sportarten bei Olympia, da ist es noch viel schwieriger, sich zu qualifizieren. Nur mal als Beispiel, aktuell (sie hat ja noch Zeit) wäre die Fechterin Britta Heidemann nicht qualifiziert, obwohl sie Weltranglisten-Sechste ist.
