Rudisha brauchte bei seinem WR sogar nur 292 Schritte für die 800 m, das macht dann sogar eine Schrittlänge von 2,74 m. Rudisha ist groß und er zog seine Schritte enorm, andere brauchen da mehr Schritte, aber 2,5 m je Schritt im Elitetempo sind sogar etwas konservativ angesetzt. Selbst Haile Gebrselassie, der ja nun deutlich kleiner ist, hatte bei seinen 5000 m eine Schrittlänge von ca. 2,3 m.
Merke: die Schrittlänge wird zum größten Teil vom Lauftempo bestimmt und nicht von der Körpergröße, eine höhere Frequenz kann man nämlich im Kurzstreckensprint vielleicht durchhalten, bei 800 m schon nicht mehr. Ich war fasziniert, als ich Rudisha's Schritt sah und wollte es genau wissen, zum Glück gab es eine Kameraführung, die das Zählen der Schritte ermöglichte ( , (hat lor-olli vielleicht zu viel Zeit ?). Wenn man die Schritte so lang zieht, kommt automatisch ein schnelles Tempo heraus, bei mir aber nur 150 m lang.
