Wie gesagt muss man nicht gut finden. Es ist aber nachvollziehbar. Schön ist das in dem Abendübertragungsfenster immerhin mehr als 10% der Tv-Nutzer LA geschaut haben.
Die Position der LA wird häufig von den Sportler*innen und Funktionären schlechter geredet als sie ist, was vehandlungstaktisch ein Desaster ist. Die Leichtathletik ist die olympische Kernsportart, sie ist nachwievor eine sehr beliebte Sportart in D, und das aktiv wie passiv. Die Leichtathletik sollte sich selbst- und traditionsbewusst vermarkten und sich nicht auführen wie die billigste Hure, die froh ist, wenn sich überhaupt ein Freier findet. Und selbst die macht es nicht umsonst.
Natürlich lebt die LA von Stars. Deswegen ist auch klar, dass medial so auf die Hartings fokussiert wird. (Allerdings darf man auch in dieser Hinsicht einfordern, dass das ÖR sich an seinen Auftrag hält, der mehr ist als nur Unterhaltung.) Und das Problem ist nicht, dass C. Harting nur einmal wirft, sondern das ein Holzdeppe auf der Tribüne sitzt und gar nicht springt und eine Pinto nur Staffel läuft.
In einem Trials System hätten beide sich das nicht leisten können. Die Vornominierungen sind da vielfach kontraproduktiv. Wenn der DLV seine DMs besser vermarkten will, muss er sie aufwerten, er muss möglichst viele seiner (zukünftigen) Stars dort präsentieren. Die komplizierten Nominierungsrichtlinien des DLV kann man dem Zuschauer schlecht verkaufen.
