dennoch behaupte ich mal, dass 2:08 durchaus drin sind. das haben leute wie baldini oder einige spanier (OK spanier sind natürlich immer ein wenig verdächtig) auch geschafft. natürlich wird das alles andere als leicht und ein europäischer 2:08 läufer ist immer eine ausnahme, aber das es möglich ist zeigt ja auch ein viktor röthlin (der aus einem land kommt das noch wesentlich mehr "wohlstandsverwöhnt" ist als wir- der mann hatte halt den drive von innen heraus obwohl er das gleiche vermutlich auch woanders mit weniger arbeit hätte verdienen können).
bei den sprintern ist die lage ja ähnlich aussichtslos und dennoch hat sich da was getan, genau wie auf den 1500m.
und wer noch nicht davon überzeugt ist, dass auch die wertschätzung einer sportart in der allgemeinheit einfluss auf die leistungen und die leistungsdichte hat, soll sich einmal die ergebnisliste der japanischen Universitätsmeisterschaften im Halbmarathon ansehen.
