Klosterhalfen in London - falsche Taktik oder fehlende Form?

Von der abnutzung sind die Hindernisse nicht schlimmer als andere mittelstrecken, aber es gibt halt das risiko eines gefährlichen sturzes.
Wie schon von mehreren gesagt: das beste Argument dagegen, dass ein Wechsel so einfach ist, ist, dass es ziemlich wenige Flachläufer machen, die aufgrund der geringeren Konkurrenz (jedenfalls noch bei den Frauen) weit bessere Chancen über die Hindernisse haben müssten. Andere wie Simpson sind zurück auf die 1500; im Kommentar zu den 3000m in Birmingham wird eine Britin erwähnt, die auch wieder zurück zu flach ist, da sie, auch ohne Stürze, ständig verletzt war. In dem verlinkten Krause-Thread wurden auch Läuferinnen genannt, die selbst nach einigen Jahren ihre überlegene Papierform der Flachstrecke nicht über Hindernisse ausspielen konnten, weil sie zu weit von ihrer pace entfernt blieben usw.
Es kommt sicher auf den Typ und das genaue Training an, ob sich jemand in einer bestimmten Disziplin häufiger verletzt. Dass die Belastung für die Gelenke usw. sich beim Hindernislauf überhaupt nicht von den Flachstrecken unterscheidet, glaubt wohl niemand. Möldner und Krause haben genau in der richtigen Zeit auf die Hindernisse gewechselt, als die Felder noch sehr schwach waren (und es hat bei beiden auch "gepasst"). So einfach wird man in Zukunft keine Medaillen mehr kriegen, nicht einmal in Europa. Daher ist es kein einfaches Rezept mehr und es muss genauso gut überlegt werden wie ein anderer Wechsel. Finde ein bißchen kurios, dass diese Diskussion bei einer überragenden Läuferin auf ihren bisherigen Strecken nun schon mehrmals aufgekommen ist, während in anderen Fällen sofort abgewunken wird. Mit weit größerer Berechtigung müsste man Athleten in z.B. 200m, Kurzhürden oder Weitsprung, die knapp hinter der nationalen (und noch weiter hinter der internationalen) Spitze liegen, alternative Disziplinen nahelegen. Z.B. Dreisprung oder Langhürden. (Es wird noch ein bißchen bizarrer, da Klosterhalfen im Hindernis schon national eine stärkere, international starke Konkurrentin hätte als sie es von 1500-10000 hat, anders als heute irgendjemand, der in D auf 400Hürden gehen wollte.)

Es gibt ja Afrikanerinnen die trotz schlechter Technik erfolgreich sind, aber die haben dann wahrscheinlich eine ausgeprägte Fähigkeit Intervalle zu laufen und nach den Hindernissen immer wieder Gas zu geben.

Die Fähigkeit des "unrhythmischen Laufens" hat nur indirekt mit der Technik über die Hindernisse zu tun hat, denn auch ein über dem Hindernis technisch guter Läufer muss oft etwas beschleunigen (zumal die Frauen oft vom Grundtempo zu langsam sind, um flüssig über die Hindernisse laufen zu können) und der lange Sprung am Wassergraben bringt dich immer raus. (Wenn man sich die letzte Runde von Peking 2015 anschaut, sieht man, wie geschickt Krause sich mehrmals weiter nach vorne bringt, weil sie sehr gut am Hindernis agiert.)
Da die Kenianer schon Hindernisse dominiert haben, als sie sonst eher noch Außenseiter gewesen sind, können sie das offenbar ziemlich gut. Das hängt sicher mit dem Training (kompetitives Fahrtspiel usw.) zusammen, vielleicht eben auch mit der Gewohnheit von Kind an längere Strecken zu traben, sicher auf unebenem Terrain und in ungleichmäßigem Tempo. Es ist aber jedenfalls eine andere Fähigkeit als Hürdentechnik. Ein guter Hindernisläufer muss eben zu der läuferischen Fähigkeit, eine gewisse Hürdentechnik und Beweglichkeit, keine Angst vor den Dingern, Übersicht im Pulk, um einen GAU wie bei Weidlinger auszuschließen, und eben die Fähigkeit zu diesen ständigen kleinen Tempo/Rhythmuswechseln. (Das kommt in dem verlinkten englischen Text gut heraus: Hindernislauf ist ungeachtet der oberflächlichen Ähnlichkeit eher das Gegenteil vom idealerweise komplett durchgetakteten Hürdenlauf mit abgezählten Schritten und geplantem exaktem Frequenzwechsel). Wir wissen von keiner dieser hindernispezifischen Fähigkeiten, wie relativ gut oder schlecht Klosterhalfen da wäre. Ich vermute zwar, dass sie als gute Crossläuferin beim letzten Punkt relativ gut ist, aber es ist eben nochmal was anderes und nur ein Punkt von mehreren sehr relevanten. Klosterhalfen ist ja nicht die einzige sub 8:30-Läuferin. Fast keine von denen hat Ambitionen über die Hindernisse, um "mal schnell Hindernis-WR zu laufen". Weil die meisten gut genug sind, um auch flach recht weit vorne mitzulaufen und weil es nicht so einfach ist, Hindernis zu laufen.

Let's Run sind ziemliche Fanboys und sie wurde außerdem zum "Rookie of the year" bei den Damen gekürt.

Ohne den Fokus auf DL (wo sie als Debütantin eben nur einmal 1500 gelaufen ist) gehörte Klosterhalfen klar vor Chebet. Beide verpassten das WM-Finale, aber KK war besser von der Bestzeit und mit dreimal sub 4 (davon das einzige sub4 ohne pacemaker!), insgesamt die drittbeste von den Zeiten und warum die DL performances Chebets so viel mehr zählen sollen als diese Zeiten und als Silber bei der Hallen-EM usw. leuchtet nicht unbedingt ein. |
