Ich denke, es wäre sinnvoll und wichtig, Trainerstellen und Infrastruktur vor allem auch an Orten zu fördern, an denen die duale Karriere der Sportlerinnen und Sportler gefördert werden kann, also beispielsweise in Kooperation mit Universitäten. Derzeit ist das ja immernoch sehr voneinander getrennt, was sicherlich in nicht unerheblichem Maße zu Drop-Outs auf dem Leistungsniveau DM-Teilnahme führt.
Bei Überlegungen, die nur die absolute Spitze betreffen, wird meiner Meinung nach oft ein Haus ohne Fundament gebaut. Wenn ich dafür sorge, dass z.B. mehr sub-11s Sprinter nach der U20 im Training bleiben und nicht nur auf die sub 10,55s-Sprinter schaue, werden auch mittelfristig mehr Sprinter in Richtung 10s laufen können.
Im vereinigten Königreich gibt es beispielsweise auch disziplinspezifische UK 10 und UK 100 Ziele. Zum Beispiel gibt es im 100m-Sprint: 102 Athleten unter 10,64 (UK 100 Ziel), 14 Athleten unter 10,19 (UK 10 Ziel), und dadurch an der Spitze eben auch 4 Athleten mit der Olympia-Norm. Über 400m gibt es 3 mit Olympianorm, 15 unter 46s. Eine solche Breite ist wohl nur dadurch erreichbar, dass flächendeckend Trainer und Trainingsmöglichkeiten dort zur Verfügung stehen, wo Athleten zur Schule gehen und studieren. Das kann man eben nicht durch ein paar Bundes- oder Landestrainer zentral abdecken. Da müssen lokale hauptamtliche Strukturen geschaffen werden.
Ein vor kurzem veröffentlichter Bericht über Leo Neugebauers US Training an der Uni hat mich nachdenklich gemacht. Insbesondere sagt Leo dort, dass andere Sportarten durch die Einnahmen vom erfolgreichen Footballteam quersubventioniert werden und das in einer Weise, von der wir hier nur träumen können.
Wie wissen wir nun, aber warum machen die das?
Weil die Unis miteinander im Wettbewerb stehen und auch ein erfolgreiches Leichtathletikteam, selbst wenn es keine direkten Einnahmen generiert zum überlebenswichtigen Renomee der UNI beiträgt.
Welche Analogie könnte es in De geben?
Eine Möglichkeit wäre, dass wir (alle vor allem inkl. der Politik) uns darauf besinnen auf welcher Basis unser aktuell im Niedergang befindlicher Wohlstand basiert? Wir haben keine Rohstoffe, wie z.B. Rußland oder Australien, unser einzig erfolgreicher Rohstoff kann nur Bildung (insbes. Ausbildung) sein.
Über unsere kläglichen, nicht zuende gedachten Versuche top ausgebildete Studienabsolventen für unser Land zu interessieren lacht aber die ganze Welt.
Wenn wir die Kurve noch kriegen wollen müssen wir die weltweiten Talente selber ausbilden.
Dazu bräuchte es
1) Die grundsätzliche Einsicht
2) Das Bereitstellen von Startmitteln (bis sich alles selber trägt)
3) Konkurenz unter den mitmachen wollenden Unis
4a) Die Talente
4b) Werbung der mitmachenden Unis um an diese Talente zu gelangen.
Eine mögliche Werbung wäre international beachtete Sporterfolge, könnte z.B. auch über Stipendien sein. Hinter denen müssten erhebliche (und effektiv eingesetzte) finanzielle Mittel stehen. Sie würden aber eben kein Sponsoring sein, sondern wären eine Investition, da sie idealer Weise ja zum nachhaltigen Erfolg des ganzen Systems beitragen würden.
Wichtiger Faktor wäre natürlich auch, dass dadurch auch einheimische Talente begeistert und gefördert würden.
Denkbar wäre z.B. auch eine internationale (z.B. Frankreich, UK, Spanien, Niederlande, ...) Wettbewerbsserie, vergleichbar der NCAA.
Ein langer Weg, ich weiß, aber mit ein bisschen Kosmetik schaffen wir gar nichts und mit unseren bisherigen kaum leuchtenden Leuchttürmen Bundesgrenzschutz, Polizei, ... werden wir auf Dauer auch nicht vom Fleck kommen.

Ich lese hier von dem was in den USA Unis machen, um an Gelder zu kommen.
Habt ihr Euch mal die Unis angesehen. Ich kann dabei keine der renomierten Universitäten finden, weder Harvard noch Yale noch Cornell oder die anderen.
Und auch viele der deutschen Studenten sind sicher nicht an der erstklassigen Hochschulen denn dort würden sie nie ein Vollstipendium bekommen..
Ich habe einige Bekannte, die an diesen Hochschulen entweder Profs waren oder zumindest ihr Sabbatical gemacht haben, davon hatte niemand Interesse an irgendwelchen Sportlern, sondern an hochqualifizierten Wissenschaftlern.

In der Ivy League wird natürlich auch Sport betrieben (in den meisten Sportarten sind die Unis in der NCAA Division I), aber Athletic Scholarships sind verboten.
D.h. man muss da schon aufgrund seiner wissenschaftlichen Befähigung reinkommen, aber die Wertschätzung des Sports und auch die Unterstützung der Sportler ist dennoch um ein vielfaches höher als in Deutschland. Harvard hat ein Grundkapital von über 50 Mrd. Dollar, da sind auch ein paar Dollar übrig, um den Sport zu finanzieren.

Die Analogie zur Querfinanzierung durch den Football wäre doch eher unseren Profi-Fußball-GmbHs aufzuerlegen, dass sie, wenn sie im öffentlichen TV auftauchen wollen und ihre Spiele mit öffentlichen Mitteln Polizeigeschützt werden und nicht selten die Stadien saniert werden (und Laubahnen verschwinden dabei, siehe nun Nürnberg als jüngster Fall) 10% ihrer Ausgaben für Transfers parallel in andere Abteilungen buttern müssen.
Zum Teil passiert das ja bereits, Basketball bei Bayern, Tischtennis und Handball beim BVB. Aber da wäre noch massiv Luft nach oben

Es gibt Ausnahmen, Beispiele sind auch die Guttormsen Brüder, die für Norwegen starten, Die sich auch für Harvard gestartet und Sondre wurde auch NCAA-Meister. Aber das ist nicht normal.
Und wir wissen nicht was Papa Guttormsen für die Ausbildung in Harvard bezahlt hat.
Ich erinnere mich, dass mir Profs in Cornell erzählt haben, dass sie nicht die Gebühren für ihre Kinder an diesen Unis zahlen könnten, wenn es nicht Sonderprogramme für Professoren gäbe.

Wenn man nach Großbritannien schaut, kann man Sportprogramme auch sehr gut mit Spenden von Alumni finanzieren. Oxford beispielsweise hat reihenweise A-Trainer (bzw natürliches britisches Äquivalent), um Leute zu trainieren, die hauptsächlich im jährlichen Teamwettkampf (20 Disziplinen!) gegen Cambridge antreten, der seit 1864 jährlich ausgetragen wird.
Da spielt natürlich auch der Stolz auf solche Traditionen eine ganz andere Rolle.

Ich dachte das ist bekannt. Die meisten Sportarten an den US Unis sind ziemliche Minusgeschäfte und funktionieren nur durch die erfolgreichen Football Teams. Über die Einnahmen, die über Football generiert werden, werden auch nicht nur andere Sportarten querfinanziert, sondern auch Laborausrüstung und so. Das ist ja auch mit ein Grund, warum die Footballspieler so beliebt sind und die wissenschaftlich hochbegabten Stundeten durchaus ein Interesse daran haben, den Spielern beim Lernen zu helfen.
Wenn man sich die Football Stadien so anschaut, da können die meisten Bundesliga Vereine einpacken, was die Zuschauerkapazität angeht.
