Es bleibt dabei, internationale LA-Meisterschaften gibt es in der Pandemie bisher nur in Polen. Hoffentlich ging es diesmal nicht so daneben wie bei der Hallen-EM, was den Covid-Schutz angeht. Leider kann man in Polen Anfang Mai keine guten Bedingungen für den Sprint erwarten. Ich bin fast verwundert, dass wir keine steinruck-style gesehen haben. Gute Zeiten kann man so nicht erwarten.
Sonst sind mit den Amis die 4x4 oft langweilig, zumindest was den Sieg angeht. Aber selbst die waren hier spannend. Ich verstehe auch nicht, was manche gegen die Hürdenstaffel haben. Die Beteiligung war armselig, aber das Event kann schönes Spektakel sein, finde zumindest ich. Nur die 4x4 mixed ist mir zu nahe an der Standard 4x4. Stattdessen würde eine single mixed 2x2x4 auch sportlich ein anderes Element einbringen, nämlich ein geteiltes Event, bei dem man sich die Strecke ungewohnt einteilen muss. Außerdem könnten Mittelstreckler starten, die sonst kein Staffel-Event haben. Nicht mit der Intensität der Niederländer, aber es gab auch diverse Kontakte zwischen den Nationen.
Nur um das nochmal klarzustellen: Ich habe kein Problem mit den Szenen im Zielbereich, ich finde es toll, wenn sich die Athleten miteinander freuen, wie das normale Menschen eben tun. Sie schätzen ihr persönliches Risiko einer Ansteckung offensichtlich niedrig ein. Aber wenn es aufgrund dieses Verhalten doch zu der ein oder anderen Infektion kommen sollte, darf man das nicht dem Veranstalter vorwerfen. Noch eine Bemerkung zu den 4x100m der Frauen.
Der DLV hat 7 Frauen gemeldet, wenn 2 Probleme haben, sind da immer noch 5. Und ich kann sicher dann noch nachmelden. Das mag jetzt gemein klingen, aber wenn ich Lisa Mayer melde, muss ich doch immer damit rechnen, dass sie verletzt ist. Andere Länder haben auch 8 Starter gemeldet.
