Vielleicht so wie in Atlanta. Wie ich ausgerechnet darauf komme? Weil damals zwei Athleten das 200m/400m Double geschafft haben (sogar noch mit 4 Runden über 200m), woran man sich heute noch erinnert. Den aktuellen Athleten nimmt man die Chance, sich unsterblich zu machen.
Und warum ging das in Atlanta? Weil man da noch keine überflüssige Mixedstaffel hatte, die den Zeitplan aufbläht und die Doubles unmöglich macht.
In Atlanta war auch 1500/5000 Damen machbar. Natürlich kann man nicht immer alle Doubles ermöglichen, aber es wäre im Sinne der Popularität des Sports, sich da, wo es potentielle Doppelsieger gibt (Miller-Uibo, Naser), Gedanken über die nötigen Zeitplananpassungen zu machen (und zwar nicht hier, sondern bei IAAF/IOC!) , statt Wettbewerbe einzuführen, die aus meiner Sicht nur wenig zu einer größeren Popularität der Leichtathletik beitragen.
