Ein Nominierungswettbewerb wie Mannheim hat zumindest den Vorteil, dass er kurz vor der EM einen zeitnahen Leistungsnachweis erfordert und zudem die Athleten genau der Drucksituation aussetzt, der sie auch bei dem Höhepunkt ausgesetzt sein werden.Die Alternative wäre ein stimmiges Konzept, welches in allen Alterklassen durchgezogen wird. Egal ob das Trials sind oder nicht, es kann nicht sein, dass die U20 nur EINE Möglichkeit hat, sich für den Saisonhöhepunkt zu qualifizieren, die U23 und Aktiven aber die ganze Saison. Und falls man Trials für die bessere Methode hält, warum gibt es keine U23-Gala, warum sind die deutschen Meisterschaften keine echten Trials?
@Jonny: Die französischen Meisterschaften waren doch dieses Wochenende, also mehr als zwei Monate vor Doha? Oder meinst du die U23?
Das ist doch kaum anders als in der U20, oder?
