Jein, Kaul ist ja noch so jung, dass ich da im Moment eher zur Meinung tendieren würde, dass jeder Wettkampf bei den Senioren zum Lernen hilft und wichtig ist und er die deshalb mitnehmen sollte. Kauls Höhepunkt auf Sicht sollte im Prinzip Olympia 2024 sein. Das setzt natürlich Gesundheit und eine stete Entwicklung voraus und ist alleine schon deshalb arg theoretisch, aber Kaul ist in meinen Augen einer der wenigen (zusammen natürlich mit dem Rest der jungen Garde wie Tilga und co) die von Doha profitieren könnten.
Bei fast allen Etablierten habe ich eher die Befürchtung, dass eine Hitzeschlacht so spät im Jahr da so einiges durcheinanderbringen könnte, sich entsprechend auf Training und Vorbereitung im Winter auswirken und einen sehr negativen Effekt auf die Leistung in Tokio haben könnte. Vielleicht noch am wenigsten bei Warner, aber bei Leuten wie Kazmirek, Mayer, Lindon, die immer mal wieder "kränkeln" bzw. eh nur 1 Wettkampf im Jahr machen können/wollen mal auf jeden Fall.
@longbottom: Mit "letzter Höhepunkt" meinte ich eher auf dem absoluten Zenit nochmal eine Medaille (oder sogar Gold) angreifen. Im Zehnkampf ist es ja schon so, dass die Allermeisten nach 30 leistungsmäßig abbauen, nicht jeder ist ein Sebrle
Mein Vorschlag war 1. nicht absolut bierernst gemeint, aber die Norm ist 2. schon ziemlich hoch. Auch bei der schönen deutschen Zehnkampfdichte: 8350+. also quasi ein Athlet muss im 8400-Bereich abliefern? Da sehe ich für Tokio sicher leider nur Kazmirek und Kaul, selbst ein Comeback von Freimuth müsste erstmal wieder in den Bereich kommen, ansonsten? Maximal eine weitere Entwicklung bei Brugger, sonst sehe ich da nächstes Jahr keine "Gefahr", dass Kazmirek überholt/ausgebootet werden könnte
