Die für mich ungeklärte Frage ist nach wie vor, warum der Veranstalter da überhaupt Spielraum hat, von der DL-Wertung abzuweichen.


Das Veranstaltungs Risiko liegt beim Veranstalter aber nicht bei der IAAF oder Diamond League AG.

Der Meeting Veranstalter kann faktisch einladen wenn er will. 1 Platz ist für einen Nationalen Athleten reserviert sowie einen für den Diamond Race Winner or leading Athlet.

Entry of Athlets: Is at the discretion of Meeting Directors. 4.1, 4.2 (First three shall be guaranteed a starting place)


Entscheidend ist hier aber Punkt 4.2 aus IAAF Diamond League Meetings 2018 – Status Requirements and Regulations:

4. Entry of Athletes into the IAAF Diamond League Meetings
4.1 Participation of athletes in IAAF Diamond League Meetings is at the discretion of Meeting Directors. However, invitations are subject to compliance with the Rules and Procedures agreed by the General Assembly of the Diamond League AG.
4.2 Based on points received at IAAF Diamond League qualification meetings, the following number of athletes will be invited to participate in the Diamond League finals:
- Lane events and technical disciplines (except HJ/PV): Top 8 (Top 7 for the 200m, 400m and 400m Hurdles should the final be held in Zurich)
- Middle distance events and HJ/PV: Top 12
