Der Verweis auf "more extreme, edgier style" kann sehr viel umfassen.
Die nächste WM in Dänemark beim Museum Moesgaard verspricht zumindest spektakuläre Bilder und, wenn man die begrünte Dachschräge des Museums voll ausnutzt, deutlich mehr Höhenmeter als bei den letzten EMs.

In Deutschland hat der Croos leider fast keine Bedeutung, aber trifft das auch auf Länder wie Großbritannien, Frankreich, Niederlande, Belgien etc zu?
Für Hobbyläufer in Deutschland muss es spektakulärer sein, also z.B. die extremen Hindernisrennen oder Trails.
Kann man nicht auch einen anderen Weg gehen und wenn die Menschen nicht zum Cross kommen, zu den Menschen gehen und Cross-Rennen in Stadtparks veranstalten. Ich denke dabei durchaus an Strecken, die nicht mehr mit Spikes gelaufen werden können, weil es kurze Abschnitte auf Stein geben kann. Je nach Park muss so eine Strecke nicht unbedingt einfach sein.
Entsprechend könnte man auch Mittelstreckenrennen auf kleinen Rundkursen auf großen innerstädtischen Plätzen machen. Was Stabis und Kugelstoßer usw. mittlerweile machen, dass ließe sich auch für Läufer organisieren. Ich meine etwas ganz anderes als Straßenläufe. Man sollte günstigenfalls als Zuschauer die ganze Strecke einsehen und ganz nah dran sein können.
