Gerade München wären verhältnismäßig (!!!) kostengünstige und nebenbei umweltfreundliche Spiele geworden, weil ein Großteil der Sportstätten (und die teuersten) schon existieren. Es hätten eben keine neuen Schanzen gebaut werden müssen, keine Bobbahn, keine Skipisten etc. Das wäre wirklich ein Fall gewesen, wo die Gewinne eventuell die Kosten wieder eingebracht hätten. Und wenn die Verantwortlichen da schon gescheitert sind, das der Öffentlichkeit rüberzubringen, weiß ich nicht, wie das erst bei vermutlich teureren Sommerspielen werden sollte, wo ja zumindest seitens des DOSB teilweise die gleichen am Werk sind.
Prinzipiell würde ich gerne mal Olympische Spiele in Deutschland erleben. Ich war 1974 noch nicht auf der Welt (sondern erst sieben Jahre später) und fände das super. Aber ich kann natürlich jeden verstehen, den die Kosten und die generelle Vorgehensweise des IOC abschrecken. DOSB und die Verantwortlichen in Berlin und Hamburg haben gesagt, dass sie das vor einer möglichen Bewerbung genau prüfen wollen und dass ihnen die Meinung der Bürger wichtig ist. Ich hoffe, das ist der Fall, und die werden nicht so übergangen, wie in München, wo wohl das Wahlergebnis der Denkzettel war.
