Da ich es leid bin, dieselbe unnütze Überzeugungsarbeit für Ewiggestrige zu leisten, die ich in anderen Threads versucht habe, zu leisten (z.B. Sprinttechnik, Sprintkrafttraining etc.), ziehe ich mich aus der Diskussion zurück.
Ich möchte mit dem Thread einen Gedankenanstoß gegeben haben, sich mit dem Thema zu beschäftigen. Dann kann sich jeder Trainer oder Athlet eine eigene Meinung dazu bilden.
Ich denke mal, dass bei den meisten hier die Meinung noch lange nicht in Zement gegossen ist.
Nachdem Du hier das Mentaltraining angesprochen hast, habe ich mich auf die Suche nach dem genannten Buch gemacht, allerdings sind mir ca. 56 Euro etwas zu viel. In Betracht kommt natürlich auch ein e-Book, das deutlich billiger ist.
Für mich kann ich sagen, dass ich zu meiner aktiven Zeit im Wettkampf immer die Leistung erbracht habe, die ich zu leisten imstande war.
Vielleicht wäre da Mentaltraining oder sportpsychologische Betreuung eher kontraproduktiv gewesen.
Vor 400m-Rennen war ich teilweise so aufgeregt, dass ich am liebsten den Lauf abgesagt hätte. Das Wissen bzw. die Vermutung, dass man nach dem Lauf erbrechen muss und bestimmt 30 min. voll in den Seilen hängt, hat einen richtig fertig gemacht (Wayde van Niekerk hat etwas ähnliches auch schon von sich gegeben)
Aber das waren auch die Rennen in denen ich das Leistungsvermögen ausgeschöpft habe.
Dagegen gab es wieder andere Athleten, die im Wettkampf oder zumindest in Einzelrennen förmlich versagten bzw. deutlich unter den Trainingsleistungen lagen. Ein früherer Freund und Staffelkamerad von mir blieb regelmäßig im Einzelrennen deutlich unter seinen Möglichkeiten (er "verkrampfte" immer), in der Staffel glänzte er aber. Für solche Athleten wäre ein Mentaltrainig und/oder eine sportpsychologische Betreuung wichtig gewesen.
Der Begriff "Ewiggestrige" gefällt mir überhaupt nicht. Da hast Du Dich vergaloppiert.
