Zum Thema Schnelligkeit der Bahn in Weinheim: Bei den Läufen über 200m, 400m und 4x100m kommt (abgesehen vom steinharten Belag) noch dazu, dass der Kurvenradius nicht wie in den meisten Anlagen die von der IAAF empfohlenen 36,50m, sondern stattdessen 40m beträgt (auch in Google Earth gut nachmessbar). Das heißt, die Kurven sind länger, dafür weniger eng und die Geraden kürzer. Anders ausgedrückt heißt das, dass die Bahn 1 in Weinheim einen Kurvenradius aufweist, den man in anderen Stadien erst ab Bahn 4 hat, und der Kurvenradius auf der Weinheimer Bahn 6 etwa dem einer theoretischen Bahn 9 in einem Standard-Stadion entspricht.
