Dies sieht Gabius genauso. Er hat beim SWR gestern gesagt, dass ihn der Marathon in Frankfurt wahrscheinlich Rio gekostet hat.

Von außen, emotionsfrei, ein oder gar 2 Generationen älter, hat man schon viele kommen und viele gehen sehen.
Da kann man leicht sagen, hättest mal besser 2 Monate Pause gemacht.
Der Horizont des Athleten ist in dem Moment viel kleiner, selbstverständlich nur auf sich selbst bezogen.
Gabius dachte sich wohl auch. ....Mensch, bei den Beschwerden noch Deutschen Rekord, ohne diese Schmerzen wären es heute vielleicht schon die 2:06 geworden. Beim nächsten mal bin ich noch mal ein halbes Jahr weiter, noch mal besser vorbereitet....
Die letzten Jahre war Arne auch immer mehr international ausgerichtet. Eine 2:06 in London, das wäre der Ritterschlag, die volle Akzeptanz der internationalen Spitze und deren Umfeldes gewesen. Ein Deutscher Mann im Marathon Weltklasse, DAS war/ist das große Ziel....
Arne hat alles versucht, dafür meinen höchsten Respekt (sage ich, der jetzt wirklich nicht der absolute Fan von Arne ist)
