Das sagst Du so. Haben nicht sogar 5,60m für EM-Gold und 5,50m für eine Medaille gereicht?
Mal generell: Man kann argumentieren, dass Holzdeppe sich durch seine Leistungen in den letzten Jahren eine Sonderbehandlung bzw. ein gewisses Vertrauen verdient hat. Man darf nicht vergessen, dass er seit der EM 2012 bei jedem Freiluft-Großereignis eine Medaille geholt hat (außer in Zürich, wo er gefehlt hat). Und das in der vielleicht unberechenbarsten Disziplin überhaupt. Das ist eine Leistung auf einem Niveau mit der von Harting, Storl oder Schwanitz.
Ich befürchte aber, es läuft darauf hinaus, dass er nominiert wird und dann irgendwann verzichtet, weil er merkt, dass es nicht mehr reicht. Ich hoffe natürlich, mich zu irren.
