Aber weil du Anekdoten magst, hänge ich gerne auch eine dran. Ich war in den 80ern mal in Ingelheim. So ein kleines Weinörtchen vor Mainz. Da war der Höhepunkt ein 3000m Lauf. An der Besetzung konnte man erkennen, dass etwas im Busch war. Ich glaube, Wessinghage hatte damals einen Rekordversuch auch angekündigt- und zu diesem Zweck Steve Scott aus den USA mitgebracht. Die beiden haben sich dann regelmäßig und konsequent in der Führung abgewechselt. In der vorletzten Runde sind sie dann ein bisschen nachlässig in Sachen Endzeit geworden, um sich auf den letzten 300m dann aber noch mal einen richtigen Kampf zu liefern. Wessinghage wurde Zweiter- und hatte den Deutschen Rekord geschafft.
