Ich halte es für sehr schwierig, dass z.B. Wissenschaftler vornehmlich die entsprechenden Tests für die Talentsichtung vorgeben, weil sie meistens nicht so tief in der Materie stecken. Da sehe ich die Schnittstelle Trainer - Wissenschaftler als sehr wichtig an.
Nehmen wir nur mal spätere Programme der Leistungsverbesserung, wo ich z. B. ganz wenig im Sprint in der Summe aus dem deutschen Raum anhand meiner Erfahrungen bei Fortbildungen übernehmen würde, da ich die Programme teilweise mit Fehlern gespickt sehe. Das sehe ich teilweise dann auch so in der Talentsichtung. Das Spinnennetzdiagramm muss bei den unterschiedlichen Athletentypen auch unterschiedlich aussehen. Wo die Stellschrauben sind, hat sehr viel mit dem Weitblick der Trainer/innen zu tun. Das System kann nur so gut wie das fundierte Wissen sein.
Das biomechanische Testprogramm halte ich teilweise für antiquiert nach meinen vielen Recherchen auf dem muskulären Bereich. Die Verletzungshäufigkeit der deutschen Protagonisten sehe ich in der Übungskonstruktion sehr skeptisch. Wenn ich einen Probanden hätte, der diese Schiene durchlaufen sollte, würde ich ihn bei unphysiologischen Krafttests ohne Diskussion knallhart herausnehmen.
Natürlich ist es gut, wenn überhaupt erst einmal geforscht wird. Nehmen wir nur mal frühere DDR-Vorgaben an. Ich kann mich sehr gut an eine Kugelstoßerin Libera bei Junioren-EM erinnern, die nach dem Gewinn der Goldmedaille eiskalt von der DDR wegen ihrer angeblichen schlechten Perspektive aufgrund ihrer geringen Körpergröße aussortiert wurde. Danach hätte eine Marion Becker, die 1cm unter der Untergrenze lag, angeblich keine Chance gehabt. Also, es ist höchste Vorsicht mit dem Begriff Talent ja oder nein geboten. Auch Beate Peters wurde in den Anfängen als untalentiert von Wilfried Hurst bezeichnet, als er noch nicht wusste, dass sie bei mir trainierte. Ich habe geschmunzelt, als ich sein total überraschtes Gesicht gesehen habe, als er von unserer Zusammenarbeit erfuhr.
Es gibt in der Talentauswahl Parameter, die mich begeistern müssen, dass ich an ein Talent glaube. Das müssen eben zunächst nicht die absoluten Disziplinleistungen sein.
