Die Zahl allein der positiv getesten Sportler lässt Zweifel an den 99% aufkommen, auch weil die Dunkelziffer (Zahl der Sportler die sich bestimmten Kontrolle immer wieder entziehen können) ziemlich groß ist - manche beliebte Trainingsgebiete haben noch nie einen Dopingfahnder gesehen…
Hier reichen kosmetische Operationen nicht mehr aus, wenn Funktionäre wie der Sohn Diacks als Marketing Chief auftreten und Gelder für die Unterstützung einer Bewerbung Quatars kassieren (5 Mill $ siehe auch

Dopingsünder, auch mehrfach erwischte sind bei der WM dabei, obwohl die Statuten des IAAF dies eigentlich nicht erlauben. Es gibt genug Mitglieder im IAAF, die ganz gezielt neue Untersuchungs- und Nachweismethoden bewusst verzögern, selbst wenn diese wissenschaftlich evaluiert sind. Es ist auch bekannt, dass im IAAF Bestechungsgelder geflossen sind (über die geschassten Mitglieder hinaus), die ohne weiteres den Etat für die Dopingfahndung mindestens verdoppeln könnten, aber genau das gegenteilige Ziel verfolgen (Imagekampagnen die das Wort Doping meiden, Arbeiten die die Erfolge der Fahndung herausstellen, aber die grundsätzlichen Mängel dieser Fahndung gezielt nicht thematisieren)
Ich habe in den späten 70ern und 80ern Leistungssport betrieben (also der "Hochzeit" staatlichen Dopings in Ost + West) und ich musste miterleben wie sich das Doping danach vom "offiziellen" in den inoffiziellen Bereich verschob (Balko, System Fuentes etc.). Die derzeitig gehandelten Daten von Ausdauerathleten mit abnormen Blutwerten (30%) passen bestens in dieses Bild, genau wie die Aussagen von Athleten die "ausgepackt haben" (Dwain Chambers) und genau beschrieben wie man z.B. die Fahnder ins Leere laufen lässt…
Mein Fazit: Wir können gar nicht oft genug die Missstände ansprechen, auch und vor allem im Interesse der vielen Athleten die wirklich clean sind - und da gibt reichlich. Aussagen und Berichte anzweifeln ist eine Taktik, die bekannten Fakten zum Doping wiederlegen eine andere Sache - da reicht es eben nicht nur zu kritisieren, zu relativieren oder pauschal als Verleumdung zu bezeichnen.
