OHNE Dopinganschuldigungen fällt trotzdem etwas auf: der Typus Zehnkämpfer hat sich geändert! Neben Hingsen, Kratschmer und Co. sah ich doch etwas "unterernährt" aus (da fehlten ein paar cm, vor allem die cm in der "Breite"). Heutige Spitzenleute sind deutlich schlanker und leichter - das fing etwa so etwa mit der Aera Busemann an (gibt auch heute noch die "Schränke" aber sie werden selten). Eaton ist das komplette Gegenmodell und obschon fast "zierlich" sind seine Leistungen auch in den Kraftdiziplinen sehr gut.
Auffällig ist auch, dass in der Doping Spitzenzeit die Zehnkämpfer nach den 1500m beinahe "ins Koma" fielen, während heute viele recht schnell wieder nach ein paar Japsern auf den Beinen sind und Interviews geben. Doping ist auch heute sicher nicht völlig unmöglich oder ausgeschlossen, aber die Extreme der 80er Jahre gibt es heute nur noch vereinzelt - (trotz Chernova…)
