Natürlich kann man die Ausdauer gezielt trainieren - ich bin viel später einige Marathons gelaufen, aber das geht sehr, sehr schnell auf die Sprintfähigkeit und der Punktegewinn steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Punkteverlust im Sprint! Ich kenne genug "Freimuths", die nicht einmal bei einer guten "Summe zur Motivation" schneller laufen konnten - das klappt für 800-1000m, aber die letzte Runde hat nicht mehr viel mit Willen zu tun wenn dem Athleten schwarz vor Augen wird. (Das passiert schon bei den 800m der Frauen - siehe die Östereicherin Preiner in Götzis!)
Ich habe in meiner aktiven Zeit einige wenige Male die 4:30 halten können, aber selbst die Aussicht einen direkten Konkurrenten auf den 2.ten Platz zu verweisen ermöglichten mir keine 4:28, die gereicht hätten.
Mal als reine Info-Frage lieber MTPTLK, wie oft bis Du nach einem Training mal die 1500m gelaufen? Und im Zehnkampf entsprächen das zwei harten Trainingstagen! Da ist "laufen wie Flasche leer" der Normalzustand und "schneller angehen" (um eine schnellere Zeit zu erreichen) heißt fast immer "schöner sterben". Wir haben mehrfach versucht die Zeit, die der Körper im ausgeruhten Zustand über 1500m schafft im Wettkampf anzugehen - das hat nicht ein einziges Mal geklappt!
