Wenn man mal die Leute aus der all time 600m Liste knapp hinter ihr sind (also hohe 1:24) liegen die 3 Leute hinter ihr sogar im sub 1:59 Bereich.
Klar kann man das nicht direkt vergleichen, die 600 werden nur selten gelaufen, aber mich würde es nicht wundern wenn sie mit einem internationalen top Trainer sogar deutlich unter 1:59 kommen könnte.
Ist natürlich die Frage ob sie bereit wäre ins Ausland zu gehen.
Schmidt wird, wenn sie ernsthaft auf die 800 setzen wird und sich nicht zu schwer verletzt, sehr wahrscheinlich nächstes Jahr 800 unter 2 laufen. Und sie kann auch mit einem deutschen Trainer unter 2 und auch unter 1'59 kommen. Kohlmann und Kolberg haben auch keinen Trainer aus dem Ausland gebraucht für ihre 1'58, oder?
Gibt vermutlich mind. ein Dutzend dt. Trainer, die entsprechenden weibliche Talente helfen könnten, unter 1'59 zu laufen. Das ist kein Hexenwerk, erst recht nicht mit den neuen Schuhen.
Warum wird die 2 wahrscheinlich nächstes Jahr fallen?
Die 1'24 sind einfach so gut, und sehr wahrscheinlich war der Fokus diese Saison noch sehr auf den 400. Und ich sage das nicht, weil ich fanboy wäre, bin ich nicht. Aber die Resultate sprechen einfach dafür. Auch ihre Konstanz über die 400 ist ein positives Zeichen.
Die 2'05 sollte man aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht überbewerten:
1. Das Rennen war vorne zu langsam für eine richtig schnelle Zeit.
2. Schmidt ist sehr vorsichtig angelaufen.
Schmidt als 400/800 Typ muss viel schneller anlaufen als in Sondershausen, um bestmögliche 800m Zeiten zu laufen. Gerade in diesem Stadium (also am Anfang der 800-Karriere) müsste sie eine schnelle erste Runde und dann klar positiven Split laufen um das Maximum rauszuholen. Weil die (aeroben) Fähigkeiten für die 2. Runde eh noch nicht so da sind, kann sie da noch nicht so viel reißen. (Nebenbei: Splits von Sondershausen hat keiner, oder?)
In einem anderen Renenn wären da schon 2'02 bis 2'03 drin gewesen womöglch. Das beim ersten 800er in diesem Rennen zu versuchen, wäre aber ein zu großes Risiko gewesen. Denn so ein richtig krasser Einbruch kann in der Phase den ganzen Umstieg gefährden. Daher war es richtig, vorsichtig zu sein. Dass sie und ihr Team das so vorischtig angegangen sind, spricht für die Ernsthaftigkeit der 800m Pläne.
Viele Athlet*innen, die auf längere Strecken wechseln wollen, scheitern nicht direkt am falschen Training oder mangelndem physischen Talent. Sie scheitern an psychologischen Hürden in Training und Wettkampf, an negativen Erlebnissen wie Aufgaben und Einbrüchen ohne vorher die nötige Stabiltät erworben zu haben.
Erschwerend kommt in D noch dazu, dass es zu wenig ernsthafte Teamwettkämpfe gibt, wo für das Team auch mal die längere Strecke gelaufen wird. Das ist ein großer Nachteil gegenüber den USA z. B.
