Oxford beispielsweise hat reihenweise A-Trainer (bzw natürliches britisches Äquivalent), um Leute zu trainieren, die hauptsächlich im jährlichen Teamwettkampf (20 Disziplinen!) gegen Cambridge antreten, der seit 1864 jährlich ausgetragen wird.
Habt ihr Euch mal die Unis angesehen. Ich kann dabei keine der renomierten Universitäten finden, weder Harvard noch Yale noch Cornell oder die anderen.
Und auch viele der deutschen Studenten sind sicher nicht an der erstklassigen Hochschulen denn dort würden sie nie ein Vollstipendium bekommen..
Ich habe einige Bekannte, die an diesen Hochschulen entweder Profs waren oder zumindest ihr Sabbatical gemacht haben, davon hatte niemand Interesse an irgendwelchen Sportlern, sondern an hochqualifizierten Wissenschaftlern.
Da spielt natürlich auch der Stolz auf solche Traditionen eine ganz andere Rolle.
