Die 8961 waren schon ein (vielleicht der) Wettkampf, wo sehr vieles optimal lief.
Es sollte nun eigentlich klar geworden sein, wie schwierig es ist so etwas auch bei Meisterschaften hinzubekommen, wo man nicht von Disziplin zu Disziplin zieht, sondern Pausen erzwungen werden und man sich für jedes Pipimachen an- und abmelden muss. Hinzu kommt, die zusätzliche Ermüdung, weil auch wenn Du gerade nicht dran bist Du ja immer den Anregungszustand erhalten musst, Du also nie vollkommen relaxen kannst und und und
Meine Hypothese ist, dass das die schlechteren Ausdauer Sportler (~ 1500 m Läufer) davon stärker beeinträchtigt, als die besserenc, sozusagen ein zweiter 1500 m Lauf ohne Punkte in der Wertung.
Je älter die Athletenkarriere ist und je kompletter das persönliche Leistungsprtfolio ausgereizt ist, desto größer ist normaler weise das gap zwischen kumulierten PBs und Wettkampfresultat.
Für mich ist es eher so eine Art Winterspeck von dem der Athlet zehren kann.
Steigert Leo seine kumulierten PBs um 160 auf ca. 9360, dann sollte es ihn in die Lage versetzen seinen DR bei den nächsten Weltwettkämpfen vielleicht noch einmal anzugreifen und Gold zu erringen, selbst wenn irgendjemand wieder komplett auf Adrenalin ist und über sich hinauswächst.
Der WR ist schon n Brett, den sehe ich so schnell nicht in Gefahr. Übrigens liegen Kevin Mayers kumulierte PBs auch oberhalb von 9500 Punkten, nur um noch mal daran zu erinnern was für ein Potential der hatte.
