Das hatte ich mal recherchiert. Das fand ich schon lustig. Ich hatte das auf den Zentimeter genau aus dem Kopf nicht mehr so präsent. Bei Leo Neugebauers Größe so gut zu sein, ist schon sehr erstaunlich. Er kann sich sicherlich im Stabhochsprung und Hochsprung technisch noch angleichen.

Dass der Durchschnitt größer ist, liegt vermutlich auch daran, dass man es unterhalb von ca. 180 cm zu schwer hat, aber bis ca. 200 cm läuft Länge besser (und darüber wird es einfach selten). (Und ich frage mich, wo die riesigen Basketballer herkommen und ob die stark mit Verletzungen zu kämpfen haben?)
Die Medaillen in Paris würde ich auf Neugebauer, Lepage und Garland verwetten. Also 200-204-193 cm. Durchschnitt: Stolze 199 cm. Ich würde sagen, v.a. Leo N. und Kyle G. können noch 9000+ erreichen, die Tabelle nach Körpergrösse also noch ordentlich aufmischen.
Was die Ü30er "Lebenden Legenden" (Mayer & Warner) bringen, wird man sehen, aber nochmal 8800+ fände ich für beide erstaunlich.
Welche Rolle spielen Größe und Gewicht, u.a. für die Verletzungsanfälligkeit? Ich würde wetten, dass Lepage die meisten Meter Tape im Feld verbraucht. Bis jetzt ist er immer glimpflich davongekommen. Er ist übrigens in der 8700+ Liste derjenige, der am flachsten über seine Körpergröße springt (PB 209 cm = KG +5 cm), danach kommt Leo (+7 cm).
