Die LA könnte, wenn sie wollte, bundesweit in jeder Schule vertreten sein und Talente sichten, aber "Jugend trainiert für Olympia" wird meinem Gefühl nach von vielen ja eher negativ gesehen oder einfach nicht wahrgenommen und verkümmert immer mehr. Jeder Schuldirektor, dem ein Verein anböte, im Rahmen des Wahlpflichtunterrichts eine JtfO-Mannschaft für die Schule aufzubauen, würde das Angebot mit Kusshand annehmen.
Jugend trainiert für Olympia hat mit Talentsichtung vorrangig nichts zu tun. Es gewinnen die Sport-Eliteschulen oder die Schulen in der Nähe großer Vereine. Eine richtige Talentsichtung findet z.B. in dem von Tobi Rüttgers und Jannik Engel praktiziertem Sprintcup für die Sprinttalentsuche an Schulen statt. Das könnte man auf andere Disziplinen ausweiten und somit flächendeckend arbeiten. Wir brauchen zudem Scouts!!!
Ich habe mir mal Nachwuchsmeisterschaften im Mehrkampf in Rhede angesehen, wo es unheimlich viele AuA gab, die sehr talentiert waren. Davon habe ich später keine/n im Kader gesehen.
Diejenigen, die bei uns erfasst werden, sind nicht die besten Talente. Das muss geändert werden. In unserem System werden nur AuA erfasst, die meistens schon in einem Kader sind. Somit wird die Decke immer dünner. Der NR steuert mit Trainern entgegen, die die Aufgabe der Weiterbildung der Talente an der Basis der Vereine haben. Sie gehen über Land und bilden diese Talente und ihre TuT weiter.
Der Norden wird z.B. systematisch "ausgeblutet". Man sollte die "Diaspora-Gegenden" durchforsten und entsporechend mit den Bedingungen bestücken. Ich h<be bei meiner Fortbildung in Malente wirklich wissbegierige TuT erlebt.

Lichtschrankensprints gibt es in vielen Regionen in Deutschland. Ebenso wie andere Initiativen. In Berlin z.B. Berlin hat Talent wo in der ersten Stufe der dt. Motoriktest flächendenckend in den Schulen angewendet wird und erst in zweiter Stufe bei Finalveranstaltungen dann sportartenspezifisch geschaut wird. Ideen, Initiativen etc. gibt es also. Leider sind sie oftmals stark abhängig von den (finanziellen) und zeitlichen Kapazitäten der ansässigen Vereine und ihrer Ehrenamtlichen. Wo es geht, findet etwas statt. Wo nicht, liegt die Talentsichtung brach. Es bräuchte ein gut durchdachtes flächendeckendes System das zugleich begeistert. Darum habe ich in der Diskussion schon mal gefordert, dass der DLV Gelder umwidmen und für hauptamtliche Talentscouts einsetzen könnte, die mit solch einem Programm in den Regionen flächendecken unterwegs sind und mit den örtlichen Vereinen vernetzen.
