Beim DLV dürfen auch die erfolglosesten Bundestrainer über Jahre weiterdümpeln, ohne Konsequenzen zu fürchten. Wie lange darf Möckel schon die 400m-Läuferinnen durch falsches Training (welches er auch noch an Nachwuchstrainer weitergibt) ins Mittelmaß zwängen?
Es ist nur auffällig, wie toll sich die 400m Läufe bei der DM immer präsentieren und dann zum Höhepunkt nicht mehr ansatzweise an diese Zeiten in den Staffeln anschließen können oder keine Steigerung mehr kommt. Bei der DM wurde hier auch wieder von einer Finalchance der 4x4 Damen geschrieben, schlussendlich fehlten fast 4 Sekunden zur Qualifikation.
Die Herren haben sich immerhin gut präsentiert in der Staffel mit zum Teil sub45 Zeiten (wenn sie stimmen). Dennoch schaffen es die Briten oder Franzosen dann doch nochmals deutlich über ihre Zeit aus dem Block hinauszuwachsen und sub44 ode tiefe 44er Zeiten in der Staffel anzubieten. Da fragt man sich schon, warum sie das können und warum die Deutschen nicht.
