Hinzu kommt, dass es bei der finanziellen Unterstützung auch nicht um die absoluten Spitzenathleten (Gina, Niklas, Malaika, KoKo, Gesa etc.) geht, sondern um die jüngeren und diejenigen aus der zweiten Reihe, die sich für eine internationale Meisterschaft qualifizieren möchten bzw. es gerade so geschafft haben. Vernüftig leben und gleichzeitig sich ganz auf den Sport konzentrieren, können in Deutschland eigentlich nur die oben genannte Gruppe, weil ihre Leistungen + Vermarktung genügend Sponsorengelder abwerfen, und all diejenigen, die in der Sportfördergruppe bei Polizei und Bundeswehr sind. Und dabei wissen wir auch alle, dass dies an eine PK-Mitgliedschaft geknüpft ist, die erstens teilweise schwerer zu erreichen ist als eine Teilnahme in Rom nächstes Jahr und die zweitens auch immer nur befristet ist, weil sich der Kaderstatus jedes jahr ändern kann. Florian Bremm bspw. weiß nicht, ob er nächstes Jahr noch die Möglichkeiten hat, die er in diesem Jahr hatte trotz der großartigen Entwicklung, die er in diesem Jahr genommen hat.
