Nicht nur Deutschland hat einen Tiefstand an Medaillen. Unsere großen Nachbarländer GB, Polen, F, Italien haben auch nur eine Goldene, dazu Canada, Japan. Italien von 5 bei Olympia auf 1 Gehergold, was nicht so glänzt wie die 100m.
Peru liegt mit 2 Goldenen deutlich vor den Niederlanden, die hier hoch gelobt ohne Hassan leer ausgehen. Auch die hier gerne als Vorbild gesehene Schweiz hat keinen Sieger. Bei den meisten Ländern hängt Alles von der Perfomance weniger Athleten oft eines Einzigen ab. Und darauf muss auch in Zukunft Wert gelegt werden: wenn nur eine Frau wie Mihambo durchkommt, ist das für die breite Öffentlichkeit und für die Medaillenwertung wichtiger als 15 Enkampfteilnahmen ohne Metall oder 5 Silbermedaillen. Ich finde, Deutschland ging hier bisher einen guten Mittelweg der Förderung der Breite und der Spitze.

Und auch in Frankreich ist man zufrieden (Romain Barras):
