Also aus sportlicher Sicht bin ich kein Befürworter...aber aus Sicht der Attraktivität der Leichtathletik (und das ist nun Mal für die Vermarktung des Sports wichtig) finde ich die Final-3-Regelung gut.
Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass dieses Format NICHT bei Meisterschaftswettkämpfen angewandt wird.
Komplette Wettbewerbe im Dreisprung oder im Kugelstoßen interessieren nun mal deutlich weniger Leute als Läufe; auch weil sie länger dauern und technisch anspruchsvoller sind. Die Final-3 hingegen bringen den Wettbewerb dem Zuschauer kompakt näher und die Versuche können dabei unter technischen Aspekten sogar intensiver betrachtet werden, da ihnen die ungeteilte Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt werden kann.
Um das Argument des Preisgelds/WR-Punkte zu entkräften kann man ggf. darüber nachdenken, dass die Top-3 bei diesem Format die gleichen Punkte/das gleiche Preisgeld bekommen, oder Preisgeld/Punkte nach der Rangliste der ersten 5 Runden gewertet wird (bin selbst nicht restlos überzeugt von diesem Vorschlag, aber platziere ihn hier dennoch mal als Diskussionsanreger...).
