Alles in allem eine Frage der Trainingsintensität, Sprinttraining mit zeitlich kurzen aber intensiven Verläufen, belasten die Struktuen unter Umständen mehr als die ganz langen Läufe (Bsp. Ein wichtiger Punkt hierbei ist der reale Kraftverlust der Beine durch das langsame aber beständige Laufen (ca. 53 km/Tag), gemessen vor, während und am Ende des Laufs und Wochen nach dem Lauf mit normalem Training. Es gibt auch andere "Extremisten" (Serge Girard > Paris-Tokio in 262 Tagen und 19100km, allerdings durch schwieriges, gebirges Terrain. Oder 27000km in 365 Tagen = 74km/d, oder Ben Smith mit 401 Marathons in 401 Tagen) allen gemein ist der Verlust an Speed in Folge des Muskelabbaus… also nix für Mittelstreckler . Sie alle hatten aber auch keine Ermüdungsbrüche!
