Abgesehen davon ist es völlig egal, wie ein Wettbewerb genannt wird. Die Leichtathletik hat einen Stellenwert in Deutschland, sieht man z.B. an zwei Sportlern des Jahres aus unserer Sportart. Eine Malaika Mihambo bei deutschen Hallenmeisterschaften ließe sich definitiv besser verkaufen als ein Skeleton-Weltcup mit Athleten, die kaum jemand kennt.
Und was den Stellenwert angeht. Da ist in Deutschland natürlich Leichtathletik weit vor deinem Beispiel Skeleton. Aber ich glaube der Unterschied, auf den Joel anspielt, ist Weltcup >>> im Vergleich zur Freiluft-DM klar untergeordnete nationale Meisterschaft, wo noch einige Stars fehlen.
Und ja, die Diamond League wird gerade von den ÖR auch missachtet, wenn man das mit den regelmäßigen Übertragungen der Wintersport-Weltcups vergleicht. Aber die Gründe dafür haben wir hier ja oft genug besprochen: Ungünstigere Sende- und Jahreszeit, Teilnehmerfeld national wie international weitaus weniger planbar etc.
