Gewichtheben rotfl! Sumo sollte man auch unbedingt mehr zeigen, danach sieht auch ein Fass wie Daniel Stahl vielleicht nicht mehr so krass aus und die Menschen werden nur noch Würfe sehen wollen.
Die Vertikalsprünge sind die attraktivsten technischen Disziplinen, weil man sofort das Resultat sieht und Stabhoch überdies akrobatisch beeindruckend ist. Und weil es oft automatisch schon Duelle gibt, weil nur noch zwei bis drei im Bewerb sind, inkl. des spannenden "Zockens" mit ausgelassenen Höhen (was freilich für unerfahrene Zuschauer schon wieder fast zu kompliziert wird.) Die brauchen am wenigsten oder gar keine "Hilfe". Die Würfe und Horizontalsprünge haben durch die "Einzeichnung" der Weitenlinien schon deutlich an Attraktivität gewonnen. Ebenso durch die Änderung der Reihenfolgen. Viel mehr kann man da m.E. nicht machen, zumal es eben auch andere Gründe gibt, warum die nie so attraktiv werden werden wie andere Disziplinen. Speer ist attraktiver, weil es keinen "Käfig", weniger Ungültige (außer den absichtlichen) und weniger extreme Körpertypen gibt. Ich bin vielleicht etwas naiv in der Verallgemeinerung, aber mir scheinen viele Dinge hier offensichtlich zu sein.
Es ging mir aber eher um etwas anderes. Nämlich die Athleten als "Leuchttürme" der Leichtathletik, weil R. Harting Musterbeispiel für einen solchen Superstar genannt wurde. Das hat bei Harting funktioniert, aber nicht weil er Werfer, sondern weil er sehr erfolgreich und charismatisch war. Das kann man eben nicht erzwingen und dabei war die Disziplin zweitrangig.
