Sollte die Kritik nicht erstmal den DLV treffen, der den Jugendlichen mit Mannheim genau EINE Chance gibt, sich für den Saisonhöhepunkt zu qualifizieren?
Ganz so ist es ja nun nicht. Man hat mehr Chancen, die Norm zu erfüllen. Das "Mannheim-Trials" Prinzip greift ja erst dann wirklich, wenn mehr als drei die Norm haben. Davon abgesehen war Vincken ja dabei, und ich habe ajs Beitrag jetzt eher so verstanden, dass man nicht gleich draufhauen soll, wenn es mal daneben geht.
Davon abgesehen aber: Ja, mein Fall ist die Sache nicht. Erstens ist es inkonsequent, das in dieser Form nur bei der U20 durchzuführen. Und zweitens halte ich nicht wirklich viel von Trials, auch wenn man zugegebenermaßen damit weiß, woran man ist.

Was wäre denn die Alternative, wenn es mehr Normerfüller als Startplätze gibt? Ein Nominierungswettbewerb wie Mannheim hat zumindest den Vorteil, dass er kurz vor der EM einen zeitnahen Leistungsnachweis erfordert und zudem die Athleten genau der Drucksituation aussetzt, der sie auch bei dem Höhepunkt ausgesetzt sein werden.

Man könnte auch einfach wie in Frankreich z.B. die nationalen Meisterschaften an dem Wochenende vor Meldeschluss ansetzen. Dann sieht man auch wer im Meisterschafts Modus die Leistung bringt und kann die besten von diesem Wettkampf starten zu lassen. Es macht auch keinen Unterschied, ob die nationalen Meisterschaften Ende Juni/Anfang Juli oder Ende Juli statt finden.
Zudem sind diese DM Termine meiner Meinung nach nicht sinnvoll. Die U23 DM findet nächstes Jahr Mitte August statt, also für die Athlethen die noch Schüler sind total schwachsinnig, da dann in den kompletten Ferien keine Möglichkeit besteht in den Ferien zu verreisen.

(3) Die erstplatzierten drei Athleten der Deutschen Meisterschaften U23 am 15./16.06. 2019 in Wetzlar werden bei einmaliger Erfüllung der DLV-EM-U23-Normanforderung (Ziffer 3.4.10) im DLV-Nominierungszeitraum (3.4.7) in den Nominierungswettkämpfen (Ziffer 3.4.8) bis einschließlich zum Zeitpunkt der Deutschen Meisterschaften U23 vorrangig nominiert werden.
Ja, dieses Jahr ist es ähnlich, wobei es immer noch einen Unterschied gibt. Das eine ist ein Einladungs-Wettbewerb mit internationaler Beteiligung, das andere sind nationale Meisterschaften. Vor zwei Jahren für Bydgoszcz stand von Platz 1-3 bei den U23-DM noch gar nichts in den Richtlinien.
