Ich glaube zwar, dass Klosterhalfen koordinativ besser drauf ist, als man erwarten könnte (angesichts der Sportarten, die sie als Kind und angeblich noch recht lange betrieben hat, wobei ich mir Handball kaum vorstellen kann, hierzulande sind Handballerinnen eher vom Typ Kenzel), aber ich sehe auch nicht, dass sie offensichtlich gut über Hindernisse sein müsste.
Die Rhythmuswechsel würden sie vermutlich nicht so stören (obwohl sie meinem Eindruck nach im Cross auf den "bahnähnlicheren" Strecken am besten war), aber die Größe und Schrittlänge ist nicht nur ein Vorteil, weil sie dadurch bei schlechter Technik (und man müsste wohl erst einmal mittelmäßige Technik voraussetzen) eher noch mehr ins Dribbeln gerät und verliert. Und die Verletzungswahrscheinlichkeit ist höher.
In dem englischen Eurosport-Kommentar zu den 3000m in Birmingham werden mehrere Läuferinnen erwähnt, die wieder zurück zur Flachstrecke gewechselt sind, einmal wegen der Verletzungen und weil sie letztlich auch nicht besser dort waren. Wenn Klosterhalfen "einigermaßen" über die Hindernisse kommt, läuft sie vielleicht 9:05-9:10, also da, wo Krause auch hinwill und hoffentlich nächste Saison kommt. Wenn sie ziemlich gut über die Hindernisse käme, dann könnte sie unter 9 und in Richtung WR laufen, aber wir wissen einfach nicht, ob sie in kurzer Zeit "ziemlich gut" über die Hindernisse käme. (Es ist ja nicht so, als ob KK die einzige sub 8:30-Läuferin wäre, aber die anderen in der Liga schnappen sich auch nicht "mal kurz" den Hindernis-WR) Wenn sie schlecht über die Hindernisse kommt, ist sie langsamer als Krause heute.
(Und ich vermute, dass fast jeder, der Hindernis mal als Jugendlicher versucht hat, weiß, wie ätzend das sein kann, wenn man es "mal einfach so" versucht... auch ohne (Beinahe)stürze oder Vollbäder)
Es besteht ja auch überhaupt keine Notwendigkeit dazu. Erst einmal sollte man doch jedenfalls sehen, was noch über ihre bisherigen Strecken (die immerhin auch von 1500 oder gar 800 bis 10000 reichen) drin ist, bevor man solche Experimente angeht. Wenn man etwas überlegt, fallen einem eine ganze Reihe deutscher Athleten ein, denen man eher nahelegen würde, mal eine Nebendisziplin zu probieren als dem größten Mittel/Langstreckentalent seit Menschengedenken.
Der Druck muss doch genau andersrum sein: Weil Klosterhalfen und Reh, wenn sie gesund bleiben, von 5000 bis HM einige Jahre lang dominieren könnten, müssen andere, läuferisch schwächere evtl. überlegen, auf die Hindernisse zu gehen (wobei Krause eben auch erst 25 ist und noch ein paar Jahre laufen kann.
Außerdem sind die Tage gezählt, in denen Hindernis Frauen eine sehr viel schwächere Disziplin ist, wie es noch vor wenigen Jahren der Fall war. Klar, es wird, wie auch die Langhürden immer ein klein wenig schwächer besetzt sein als die vergleichbaren Flachstrecken, aber nicht mehr so, dass es eine wohfeile Option mehr für läuferisch schwächere sein wird, sondern eben für die, denen die Besonderheiten der Disziplin liegen.
Von der Nationalmannschaft ausgehend, sähe ich auch eher die Notwendigkeit, mehr Männer auf die Strecke zu ziehen (in der D in der Vergangenheit immer mal wieder europäische Spitze war, aber schon länger nicht mehr). Zwar ist hinter Krause der qualitative Sprung immer noch deutlich, aber es kommen eine ganze Reihe junger Läuferinnen nach, die sich noch verbessern könnten.
