Er könnte ohne Substanz-/Kraftverlust mehr erreichen.

Hoffa gehört zu den schnellsten im Ring und erreicht weltweit die höchsten Abfluggeschwindigkeiten. Er zeigt seit über einem Jahrzehnt Spitzenleistungen, stößt beständig im hohen 21er Bereich und hat Medaillen gewonnen. Seine Sprungwerte sind ausgezeichnet. Er erreicht mit die Größten Werte bei der Verwringung zwischen Hüft- und Schulterachse. Ich kann aus all dem keine akuten Defizite bzgl. Athletik und Rumpfbeweglichkeit ableiten.
Das zuviel Gewicht leistungsmindern ist, ist selbstredend. Doch ab wann ist das der Fall? Letztlich besitzen die meisten Drehstoßer im Größenbereich zwischen 1,80 bis 1,90 m eine sehr ähnliche Physiognomie. Ich nenne sie liebevoll Litfasssäule. Man darf auch nicht vergessen, dass es im Drehstoß darum geht, einen Drehimpuls aufzubauen, ihn umzuverteilen und letztlich auf die Kugel zu übertragen. Masse bzw. Massenverteilung spielt da sicher auch eine Rolle. Kurzum: ich habe keine Endlösung parat, aber diese schnell gefällte Urteil "+10 kilo weniger und alles wird besser" ist mir zu einfach.
Von Endlösung muss man nicht sprechen, aber es ist nichts so gut, als dass es nicht besser gehen könnte, und bei Hoffa ist meiner Meinung nach bei mehr Disziplin eben noch etwas mehr drin.
Jeder Athlet ist singulär, jede Bewegung ist singulär.
Im Spitzenbereich muss man eben auch ausprobieren und Irrungen und Wirrungen gewärtigen.
Vergleiche zu anderen helfen bei der Ausschöpfung eigener Potentiale nicht entscheidend weiter, man ist dann geneigt, sich mit dem Erreichten zufrieden zu geben.
Umgekehrt könnte man versucht gewesen sein, David Storl bei seinen früheren Bankdrückleistungen nach Hause zu schicken, wenn man nicht die Power, die er von unten heraus entwickeln kann, gesehen hätte.
Die Psyche spielt eine grosse Rolle und einem oft einen Streich.
Es ist das alte Phänomen 'stark aussehen-stark sein'.
Passive Masse ist nicht zielführend.
Von Bewegungseinschränkungen will ich noch nicht mal reden.
