Ich habe mich gefragt, ob es für einen deutschen Trainer heutzutage nicht karrieretechnischer Selbstmord wäre, wenn er einem jungen Mädchen einen Gewichtsverlust nahe legen würde, auch wenn es der Leistung in vielen Fällen zuträglich wäre. Ich habe mich auch gefragt, ob es im Sprint- und Wurfbereich nicht oft ähnlich aussieht. Ich denke viel Frauen schrecken davor zurück allzu muskulös zu werden.
Andererseits ist Gewicht natürlich im Hochsprung (nicht nur bei den Damen, siehe der extrem dünne barshim) natürlich ein riesen Faktor für top Leistungen.
Das ist eine schwierige Zwickmühle, kein Trainer möchte einen shitstorm wegen "body shaming" wie es ja z. B bei NOP und Mary Cain passiert ist, aber es ist natürlich wichtig für Leistung.
Früher in der DDR und auch im Westen war das gar kein Problem, da wurden junge turnerinnen routinemäßig jeden tag auf die wage gestellt und auch unter Druck gesetzt, da gab es Diskussionen wie "body shaming", "body positivity" und esstörungen noch gar nicht.
Ich glaube da haben die Länder des Ostblocks auch einen gewissen Vorteil das da Gesellschaften noch konservativer und hierarchischer sind und es eher akzeptiert wird das erfolg Opfer erfordert.
Auch da löst sich das langsam auf, aber es ist noch nicht so progressiv wie bei uns und oft gilt immer noch wer Erfolg hat hat recht und wenn man dazu nem teeny Mädel sagen muss das ihr Arsch zu fett ist wird das eben akzeptiert.
Es gibt ja in Russland auch diese eislauf Trainerin tutberidze die sehr erfolgreich ist und wohl auch extrem hart mit Kindern umgeht (auch was Ernährung angeht). Da regt sich auch langsam etwas Widerstand in Russland, aber sie bringt halt auch jedes Jahr 1-2 neue Weltklasse Mädels raus die mit 13 vierfachsprünge können (und in der Regel mit 18 verschlissen sind, aber halt dann schon 2 wm Titel und einen Olympiasieg haben).
So was hat natürlich seinen Preis und das ist bei uns ungleich schwieriger. "gewichtskontrolle" ist leicht gesagt, aber bei uns würde eine Mutter schnappatmung bekommen wenn sie erfährt das ein Trainer da versucht Gewicht zu reduzieren und deshalb lassen die meisten Trainer davon lieber die Finger.
