Rein aus meiner persönlichen Erfahrung habe ich mich von Läufen bei guten Bedingungen auch bei vollständiger Verausgabung immer besser erholt als von solchen bei miesen Bedingungen. Ich würde sagen, dass das den meisten Läufern so geht. Wieviel davon Psychologie und wieviel Physiologie ist, kann ich nicht sagen.

Mir fällt dazu Renato Canova ein, der sinngemäß im Bezug auf Marathonläufer und Hitze gesagt hat, dass bei guten Bedingungen die Erholung danach viel einfacher sei: https://youtu.be/MVynhS3H8dA?t=579 (ab ca. 9:40) (wobei Marathon natürlich von der Erholungsdauer noch einmal was anderes ist, aber wahrscheinlich hätte sich Hassan mit nur ein paar Tagen mehr Erholung ja auch schon wieder bereit gefühlt, zu laufen)

Oder sehe ich das falsch? Nehmen wir einfach mal zwei Ursachen, einmal Wind und einmal Hitze. Bei Gegenwind hast du einfach Pech und es ist wie du sagst. Du gibst deine MaxWatt ab aber der Wind macht dich einfach langsamer. Bei Hitze ist die Sache anders gelagert. Hier trocknest du von innen heraus aus, wahrscheinlich, auf langen Strecken, kannst du auch deine MaxWatt gar nicht abrufen und im Nachhinein musst du deutlich mehr Flüssigkeit zuführen als bei gutem Wetter. Der Körper leidet hier eher von innen. Von daher ist Gegenwind zwar genauso blöd wie Hitze aber die Auswirkungen sind völlig unterschiedlich.

Es gibt fürs Physische und Psychische vielleicht Erklärungsansätze. Physisch hast Du mit 100% = 100% natürlich recht, aber das ist die Normierung über den gesamten Organismus. Die begrenzenden Faktoren im Organismus, die am Ende das bestmögliche Ergebnis bestimmen, sind aber abhängig von den äußeren Bedingungen verschiedene. Training ist meistens unter guten oder wenigestens geht-so-Bedingungen. Eine Superleistung unter Minderbedingungen ist trotzdem möglich, aber einzelne Bereiche (seien es spezifische Muskelfasern) sind dabei mehr gefordert als üblich und brauchen deshalb mehr Erholungszeit. Da sind wir auch schon beim Psychischen. Interessanterweise hat ja auch Paula Radcliffe ihren Rekord bei sehr harschen Bedingungen erzielt. Gerade die "Beleidigung" durch das Wetter am großen Tag kann in manchen eine Gegenreaktion und maximale Mobilisierung bewirken. Die Müdigkeit danach ist dann der Preis.

Na bin schon gespannt auf morgen. Bei den Männern wird sicher Joshua Cheptegei um den Titel laufen und evtl. auch den bestehenden Weltrekord von Geoffrey Kamworor abjagen, falls die Bedingungen nicht zu windig sind. Cheptegei hat bislang bloß noch keinen Halbmarathon bestritten.
