Ich bin überrascht Conseslus Kipruto in den Startlisten zu sehen. Ich dachte, er hätte seinen WM-Start verletzungsbedingt abgesagt. Ist /war die Verletzung doch nicht so schlimm?

Puh, Gina im schwersten Halbfinale über die 100m. Bin sehr gespannt. Hoffe, sie behält die Lockerheit bei. Das ist nicht einfach bei der Besetzung.

Ich hab mir gerade mal die Statistiken im Hindernislauf angeschaut. Ich finds erstaunlich,dass es doch scheinbar viele Läufer gibt,die über einen längeren Zeitraum hier erfolgreich sind. E. Kemboi zb gewann ja schon 2003 seine erste Medaille und war danach eigentlich immer auf dem Podium,das war mir gar nicht so bewusst. Mir sind "nur" seine 4 WM-Siege in Erinnerung geblieben. Und da gibt's noch mehrere. In den anderen Laufdisziplinen ist das kommen und gehen wesentlich höher.
Ja, schon erstaunlich, man sollte ja eigentlich annehmen, dass durch den zusätzlichen Stress der Hindernis- und Wassergrabenüberquerungen die Ausfälle größer sind. Moses Kiptanui hat auch über Jahre die Disziplin bestimmt (wenn auch mit Pech bei Olympia)
Kemboi muss man seit 2003 unlöschlich in seinem Gedächtnis haben, immerhin war er da wichtiger Protagonist des besten 3000m-Hindernisrennens aller Zeiten https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca5zZGBdJw8 und ein paar Insiderinfos von Renato Canova zu dem Rennen (http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.p...49#8349249) Traurig ist nur, dass Cherono/Shaheen, der genaus so alt wie Kemobi ist, seine Karriere früh beenden musste.
