Und ich kanns auch begründen, ist für den aufmerksamen Beobachter der internationalen Langstreckenszene ist es auch nicht so schwer, sich das Szenario vorzustellen. Am besten wäre ein Rennen, in dem sich alle auf die letzten 400 verlassen und die Läufer so in etwa bei 12:45 oder noch langsamer durchgehen bei 4600. Ringer ist ein sehr guter Spurter, aber wenn das Tempo vorher zu lange hoch ist, kann er das natürlich nicht abrufen. Bei so langsamen Tempo kann er aber eine 53er Runde oder mittlerweile vielleicht sogar noch ein wenig schneller liefern, und das kann bei idealer Positionierung sogar für Bronze reichen. Eine Möglichkeit wäre, er ist an Farahs Schulter bei 4600 (was bei dem Tempo möglich wäre) und tritt zu erst an. Andere Möglichkeit: Schon bei 4550 antreten von etwas weiter hinten.
Farah würde dann ne 51er Runde laufen und ihn holen, aber wie viele aus dem Feld können das noch?
Die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines solchen Rennverlaufs steht auf einem anderen Blatt. Ich tippe eher darauf, dass das Tempo spätestens 3 Runden vor Schluss schon sehr hoch sein wird, so dass Ringer keine Chance auf die ersten 5 Plätze haben wird.
Manche denken, dass 1500m Zeiten mit der Spurtfähigkeit in einem kurzen Spurt uf der Langstrecke grundsätzlich sehr gut korrelieren. Kommentatoren erzählen das immer wieder, aber das ist natürlich Quatsch.
